Don't want to confuse the issue even more, but my associate is going YVR to Quebec City on Monday. He has to take the first flight out of YVR on Monday to get to his meeting on time. Fun fares were sold out so he booked a latitude at $900+.
However, he has a YYZ connection. So based on my experience he checked out the cost of 2 seperate tickets YVR to YYZ and then YYZ to Quebec on exactly the same flights. Guess what? ACs website shows fun fares available YVR to YYZ and fun fares available YYZ to Quebec. Total of 2 seperate tickets, on the same flights is $500+ cheaper. So he cancelled his latitude fare YVR to Quebec, and rebooked two separate tickets, saved himself $500+ and even got the same seats that he had under his latitude fare.
