Many have told me they like a stop over going to BKK, but when it was a available I would take the non-stop any day over a connection in NRT, HKG, or ICN.

I understood the reasons, but I was sad to see the TG A345 LAX-BKK end. I made a point of routing through LAX to get the PE seating.
