Just did the same. Struck me as a pretty darned good rate under any circumstance, and with the 7500 points for a second-night stay, at my 2 cents a point valuation, the second night (after taxes but also including points earned) is only costing an additional $20 or so.

(I know, the 2 cents a point valuation may be a bit high, but we're suckers for the Paris Park Hyatt Vendome; and, anyhow, even at 1.5 cents a point, the second night on this NY thing strikes me as a no-brainer in January.)
