No, for me the total impact was about 40 places in a very slow moving Perth Airport taxi line that added about 25 minutes to my long day (based on the 3rd guy to get his untagged bag who was standing next to me, being 40 spots ahead of me in the queue and in a cab that 25 minutes before me.). That 25 minutes being the gap between beating peak hour traffic or not.

The end difference was me not seeing my infant son before he went to bed and not being able to feed and bathe my other 2 kids which would save my wife the battle and allow me to spend time with them.

But you are right, I am being precious so lets do away with priority bagage. While we are at it lets do away with those priority check in lines. At the end of the day if you open those lines up to everyone the wait would only be about 5 minutes.

And priority security screening. Why bother, it is only 5 minutes extra.

And toss away priority boarding too, really the plane cant leave without you.

Fact is that priority baggage is a stated benefit for elite FF members and the only thing stopping it being delivered as a real benefit is the arrogance and incompetence of the baggage handling staff.
