I don't believe that these flights were repositioning flights as both days they turned in SEA to do the SEA-ATL redeye. Appears to be pure aircraft utilization to keep the frame flying during its normal 22 hour rest in ATL. I've always wondered why the 747 didn't do ATL-CCS-ATL or the like since it sits in ATL making no money after arriving from NRT for 22 hours. This was a pleasant surprise over the busy holiday weekend and the flights appeared to have gone out full.
