Thats depends.....

Are you Platinum or Gold?
How long do you stay?
Is the hotel fully booked?
Are there many other guests with status?

You can doublecheck an eventually upgrade visiting your booking via SPG app or website before arrival, if you are supposed to get an upgrade. Normally that isn't gone, if you are arriving late.
