I think you need to do some research, Some members are reporting Amex is giving CURRENT Amex cardholder the 10K first spend and denying the rest of the bonus. If you have an Amex card login and you will see the 10K first spend offer. I used a fresh browser and applied from scratch to get the 25K offer. I have doubts that I would ever see the other 15k even if I made the spend as Amex knows I have other cards, the 10K already posted within a week after spending $4.

I believe I said I can spend the $5K for better value elsewhere, not that I could do both $5k spends in that time frame. HH points are more valuable to ME as there is only one Starwood property near where I vacation in Florida and I don't care for it. 200K HH points gets me 4 nights, 30K SPG points where I would use them ( Boston ) gets me less than 3 nights plus for spending $1k more I get 2 R/T flights MSP/TPA

I didn't see the (2nd attack as I'm pretty sure tricky was supposed to be a insult) personal attack but it cracks me up that how I churn cards would upset a stranger, I just explained my situation and stated how I can get more value out of a $5K spend and that I don't care to do the manufactured spend.
