My apologies if I misread you.

People will drink when flying and there's really nothing anyone can do to contain this. Some will start early, well ahead of boarding, whereas others will only begin once free booze is offered on board. Plus as you mentioned some will rely on their DF purchase(s) to keep them going so to speak...
