YYZ has quite a variety of equipment and operating conditions, so I am sure others would benefit from your experience.
As to your final point: there seem to be a few accents in both the lounge and gate staff than come from somewhere close to Fife, unless I am much mistaken. I have never flown Air Canada out of YYZ but I can imagine they would have a very difficult job to match BA's service there.
Thanks for the welcome and will do. I had the reverse journey a few weeks ago on Air Canada and whilst prefectly fine, just wasn't as good. I'm a big believer in recognising service beyond folks 'just doing their job' and it seemed a great opportunity to thank the YYZ BA crew (I include the check-in staff in that as well by the way)
