So? You can easily do the $5K on SPG and every other card.
I have been denied one card ( Chase , applied too early) in my life ( opened 19 cards in 2013 alone) so credit pulls mean very little to me.
So it seems you have plenty of ability to do "legit" spend, but not enough to maximize the easiest-to-earn points on a notoriously stingy program?
Edit. Last but not least I'm not even sure if I would get the 15K points as some in the SPG thread are saying they were denied because they had an existing Amex.
Huh? You are mixing apples with Giraffes. If you are approved and get any bonus, you'll be eligible for the entire bonus.
