Yes, that's exactly what it said - it was a "MyKey setting". I was going to try to research it to see if we could try to change it while we had the car but never had time.
The car comes with two keys in "admin" mode. Once you set a MyKey limit on it, you need the other admin key to remove the MyKey limitations. The car will always prohibit the remaining admin key from becoming a MyKey.
Either Sixt or a previous customer could have created the MyKey.
