Heartbreaking for that mother.

Question: The first link indicates the age of the pilot as 68. I thought this exceed the age limit for commercial airline pilots? Is there an exemption for pilots in bush Alaska, or for aircraft below a certain size? I'm NOT saying or implying that age was a factor here. I'm simply making an inquiry.
