The answer is probably no.
Using another scenario to illustrate, if your flight is delayed causing you to arrive SFO on the next day.
You have guaranteed your hotel with your credit card.
Will AC pay for that night that you’ve paid but not stayed?
The answer is no.
Therefore, an extension of that logic means you will not get the taxi fare.
That's why we need travel insurance.
