mostly I am bedded down before dinner, so they will sometimes ask #1 do I want to be woken for breakfast. I have never experienced #2 forced waking.
Usually the KL crew do it the simple and sensible way and leave me sleeping - and I wake up to find breakfast has already been served.
This is no problem as I have always found that if I walk over to the galley and smile nicely and the crew are happy to make me a cup of coffee and give me a croissant or something just before landing.
