I certainly can't give you an answer for any specific airline, but international carriers (especially those not in *A) may be tied to the clearinghouse schedule which would be 1-2 weeks at a minimum unless there's something in the US/Jet agreement specifying a settling of miles while bypassing the clearinghouse.
