The last time around the "Gate open" or "Go to gate" sign (whichever is the usual there) appeared on the screen so I thought I still had time to do "the usual." Every several minutes I kept checking to see if the status had switched to "Boarding" but it didn't. So I still took my time and then at one moment, when I was actually looking at the screen and could see that nothing has still changed... the whole flight disappeared from the monitor.
Turns out it took off...
OMG! (If FT has the emoticon of "The Scream", I would totally put that here)
When I departed from LHR 2 weeks ago, I was at my gate 20 minutes prior to departure and the gate agent essentially shouted at me, gave me the evil eye, barked at me and demanded to know why I was so late. *Rolls eyes*
At least in SIN, the agents will just keep their mouth shut and wave you in, or just give a stern "Please do not be so late in future" warning.
