6 weeks on, G-XLEB is still a fridge.

Well I read this (now locked, due to the inevitable squabbling about upgrades...read on for more on that) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...oo-g-xleb.html with interest a few weeks ago in mid October and I *presumed* BA would take -EB out of service for maintenance to fix the temperature control problem.

Well, if they fixed it, it's broken again.

Flew back from HKG last night, originally booked in CW but the magic beep at the gate saw me ensconced in 2E (the first row of F in the middle bank of seats). Delighted with the upgrade of course, so not in the "examine everything in minute detail to find fault" kind of mood.

However, about half way through the flight I woke up absolutely freezing. Lay there for a bit wondering if it was just me but then realised it wasn't and asked the crew to turn the temperature up. This made things slightly better but not by much.

Then, as the breakfast started up I went to the front lavatory to get changed and the area between doors L1L and L1R was like a fridge. Seriously it was incredibly cold and had obviously been so for a while as the plastic fittings were all even colder. Another passenger waiting also remarked how cold it had been all night.

I had the good fortune to fly out to HKG in F on G-XLEC a few days earlier and there was no problem at all, a normal flight regards to temperature.

Now, I know FT and BAEC are apparently no longer for frequent fliers so this may be a bit of a shot in the dark: but does anyone have any recent experience of -EB specifically and the temperature on board?
