If a flight is delayed more than 2 hours and you don't want to take it, you can get a refund even if your fare is not refundable, correct, similar to how an announced schedule change is handled (1 hour delay for voucher, 2 for refund)? Does this apply to the return if it's a round trip?
I do not believe that there is policy written that anyone can point to - only anecdotal evidence of it's existence. I've used it several times at various status levels, so not sure how much that plays into it.
Only thing you can do is call and explain that the delay or cancellation of the outbound or return makes the trip not worth your while for whatever reason (missed meeting, missed connection, etc).
