I don't see that. The OP's travel will originate in the USA, but I see no indication of passport or nationality, or even of residency. OP could be a foreign student spending time in the USA or could be planning to tack on a side trip to China as part of a brief business trip to the USA.
I often utilize probability theory when replying to posts. For starters, 90% of FTers are US citizens. And, when someone states that they are departing from the US, I'm comfortable bumping that number up to 95%. Then, when you take into account the fact that 90% of the remaining 10% hail from countries that have the 72 hour perk, we're looking at a ~1% fail rate. Finally, if the OP was from Albania or Somalia, it's safe to assume that he would have disclosed such up front.
