I think a little product branding is nice. There are definitely instances where it goes too far.
-Asiana Quadra Smartium - what the is that? it's way OTT
-United Business, First, p.s. First, BusinessFirst, GlobalFirst, EconomyFirst (just kidding about the last one) - so many stupid words and it's not clear at all what is going on.
-Transaero Imperial Class, for instance, is nice because the branding is clear - this is the top premium cabin.

If I were BA I would rebrand it formally to "Club World Business Class" to make it clear what is going on or just call it "Club Business Class".
Changing it just to Biz Class removes the unique "flavor" of the product and no branding person wants that.
