FB also tends to give only 50% of 25% of mileage on lower fare classes and imposes fuel surcharges ($400-800 TATL) for redemptions.

I have family in Sarajevo as well and my SkyMiles are useless for travel to/from there, which is why I also collect Chase UR to transfer to UA or another *A program.
