SQ's inflated pricing and their inability to provide us with a seat allocation ahead of time, pretty much had me make an effort not to be booked on SQ.
I wonder how long it will take before SQ actually has to compete for their better paying customers and provide them with these basic entitlements.
Well SQ are asking me to book ahead anyway (on a non-refundable fare!) in the hope that I might get a suitable seat allocated to me 48hrs before departure!

What a joke!
For ultra long haul flights, I MUST choose my preferred seat. I don't want a window seat, and CERTAINLY NOT a middle seat in between two strangers. I like to the on the aisle. If I cannot guarantee this for a 13hr flight, then I am not going to book with SQ. Simple. But still such a shame, as they are favourite airline.
