While NYC remains a good tourism destination all summer long, it's a bigger draw in September, when work ramps up after Labor Day, conferences kick back into gear, and the weather turns a bit cooler, drawing more weekend visitors. September and October are possibly my two favorite months in NYC. July and August, not so much. Folks head out of town to the beaches or the mountains, so demand isn't what it is in the fall.
Indeed. September is the busiest month in NYC, even busier than December, in terms of visitor traffic. December is busy towards the end; September is busy the entire month.
