Not sure if anyone can help here but will give it a try, have just spent nearly an hour on the ph with Aeroplan to book what I hoped was a fairly straight forward award booking ex SYD to Asia. My stops I wanted were PVG, TPE and DPS. The agent told me no matter what way you do it exceeded MPM by 20% and no there were also no sell through fares for these cities in any combination. This was elevated to a supervisor who could only recommend an around the world redemption for this
I was also told I must stick to Star hub cities such as SIN, BKK etc (making DPS a no go) but I see tons of itineraries on here that include several non hubs across Asia, Europe etc.

As with most times I deal with Aeroplan the fact that SYD is my city always seems to throw them off and cause confusion.

Does anyone know if I can visit PVG, TPE and DPS on one award and if so what do I need to know to tell the agent to make it happen. Here in SYD we have plenty of Asian *A carriers and I thought this would have been a fairly simple itinerary using a mix of CA, BR, SQ etc (TG, OZ also options but trying to avoid extra charges).

As I am paying for the call to Canada from SYD I really would appreciate as much info as I can get as I don't feel they were telling me all the correct details.
