I got bad news for ya. You were instead paying to fly a heavy coat of pure aluminum cladding back and forth across the Atlantic. Yep, AA got it's very own skin when they ordered airplanes. Not sure what the weight difference is between the paint and the metal cladding. But AA's planes were not simply "unpainted". (That's also one of the annoying facts 9-11 conspiracy theorists like to overlook whilst they rant about wreckage from the Pentagon)
But I digress...the big silver birds are eye-catching on a bright, sunny day, cutting a path across a deep blue sky.
Worst: Unidental. (Yeah, that's United). Strange how the word "continental" looked so aesthetically pleasing with that livery, but not "United".
