As I said that situation could've been easily avoided by allowing people to go out and have another 30 minutes of delay, rather than have them starving, angry and grumbling. ORD is a huge airport, and eateries there could easily handle another 150 people coming out at once and grabbing a quick bite to eat. Heck, buses with 50 people do that routinely - and with just 20 minutes of stop in a refreshment area on a long haul route.
Ah yes, everything is just so easy. No problem, just add 30 minutes more delay.. there will always be landing slots at SEA, and always will be gates...Not to mention a take off slot from one of the busiest airports in the world..This plane doesn't have anything else planned for the next 24 hours...
