Hey, Mikesaidyes. Are you just coming to JKT for the sake of coming? There is no other reason that you have to stay here? The 1000 islands are NOTHING special, very rustic, and WAY overpriced. Especially on holidays and on weekends when many Jarkartians would make the trip. You would be MUCH better off getting a cheap Air Asia or Garuda ticket to Bali, Lombok, or some other island. Better party atmosphere if that is what you are looking for. Indonesia is a beautiful diverse country, but Jakarta does not have much to offer for a casual tourist.
