Award stay in October '13.

The positives: The property is gorgeous, as are the views. Staff was superb and went the extra mile on standard requests, recommendations, etc. Rooms are excellent, beautifully appointed, luxurious and spacious.

The minor negatives: Although ostensibly an upgrade to a larger room, we were located on the ground floor (with an odd sub-elevator), in a dark room with no balcony and absolutely no view. I had two fairly substantial issues at the property, and although both were resolved, it took longer than expected, and there was no compensation offered, other than an apology. Last, even though I was expecting 5-star prices for food and drink, it was still exceedingly expensive.

Although a completely different experience, I personally preferred my stay at the Hilton Sa Torre.
