Just received the same response on my email to Delta. I escalated the issue and will see what the response is.

I've been able to deal with a lot of the other Delta devaluations this past year; for some reason this one really frys me. The funny thing is to use a SWU on a Delta flight I end up spending more money with Delta - and they want to make that more difficult. I had been wondering if I need to fly more with Delta and go back to Diamond status. One big reason to do this just went away.
