Seeking some further advice from regulars in this thread (thanks for info so far...)

For 5 nights in Cuba I was thinking of splitting between the MELIA Varadero and the TRYP Habana Libre (using Melia Rewards points, which are otherwise useless to me, to defray the costs.)

Do I need to make any arrival arrangements other than a confirmed reservation? And does anyone have experience of the MELIA Varadero?
