I was planning to do a trip to Tokyo in April/May 2014 and when I started looking for the tickets I was surprised to find out that the a380 that flew this route was replaced with b744. That's kind of a deal-breaker there and I was wondering if maybe a380 will be returning to that route for the spring/summer schedule (possibly nicely retrofitted in C ).

From what I have been reading on FT I can see that the a380's are supposed to be directed for the retrofit anytime now and also the 2 new ones with new C should be shipped in March/April - this actually nicely reconciles with what I found on http://info.flightmapper.net/flight/Lufthansa_LH_710 that says it's supposed to return by the end of March. Coincidence?
