That is really strange. I can't even imagine what building that is. It could be the Sir Francis Drake Hoteln the west side of the hotel, but Club floors should be above that. Perhaps as AustinModern says it is the bedroom of a suite on a lower floor since non-Club floor rooms have carpeting rather than the wood flooring; maybe all the suites have the nice wood flooring. In my opinion, rooms with a north bay view have the best view (Alcatraz, the bay, Coit Tower), 2nd best would be south facing (Union Square ice rink, Macys), third would be west facing (nice sunsets on a clear day) and last would be east facing which has more filtered views because of buildings in the distance plus I find that side to be more noisy from fire trucks, etc. even on the high floors.
