I have the Presidential Plus card (mastercard) and the MileagePlus select (visa). When the merger happened I considered cancelling the select card but kept it for various reasons. Now I keep it around as others have mentioned - the up to 5k EQM are useful when buying tickets on UA.com and the triple RDM miles on UA purchases and double on Star Alliance means it pays for itself. To be honest it has been the PP card that has been the slouch but given the PQD waiver with this card, I am holding on to it too!
