In premium classes you may be more successful - but it probably doesn't require a separate sub-brand and the extra costs that would entail. As it is, most of of the major carriers worldwide have pretty good hard & soft products in premium classes.
Most Americans are willing to put up with a fair amount of inconvenience to save a buck - then complain about it.
Not unlike those who whine about the limited availability of saaver awards, unwilling to part with miles required for aanytime awards, even when they are obtained by churning credit cards.
Gotta love the most recent United commercials pimping Premium amenities, E+ cabins - nothing more than putting lipstick on a pig. At the end of the day, the airlines are simply giving us what we ask for...
