I require 50 additional "Status Credits" by 30 Nov 2013 to receive
"additional Platinum privileges".

I travel extensively internationally (20+ trips this year Discount Economy/Economy) and my wife plans to join me on a few trips for the first time next year as my youngest child has just finished Year 12 and is starting University. The "additional Platimum privileges" is of interest to me because of the "Complimentary Gold Membership" for my wife, e.g. when she is travelling alone when joining me in travels arriving/departing mid trip - "One World" lounge access, occasional Operational Upgrades etc... for her etc... I live in Melbourne.

Any suggestions of a "Status Run" by Saturday, November 30 to achieve 50 additional Status credits using preferably points only?? Or not bother - even if I am so close?? Any suggestions greatly appreciated??

I have travelled so much in the last year (200+ days away), ideally I need to take my wife along (for a weekend away - or risk divorce) for the "Status Run" using points as well (I have plenty) plus it would be good to have a destination where I could redeem 1 or 2 nights away at either a Starwood or Club Carlson Hotel as I have 100's of thousands of points with these Hotel Programs. I can take travel Thursday evening and take Friday off work - so departing Thursday evening/Friday morning and return Sunday would be ideal?
