Agreed. It makes for interesting discussion when buried in a 2000+ post thread in a rambling combination of posts. But when it is spelled out -- complete with CIRCLES and ARROWS on a corporate blog -- no good will will come of it.
I don't think it's a childish need.... it's a calculated marketing decision. It's all about the $$$ these days.
