You can OLCI the morning before as long as your flight is at or before the same time the next morning. It is exactly 24 hours (or less) in-advance. The ticket counter folks have the ability to move your seat assignment around when you present yourself at the airport if you ask. Pickins will likely be slim by that point (and especially) during the upcoming week.
Flight is at 5:40 tommorow EST and it is still showing all seats cost $$$
Update: Unfortunately I did not realize that you click on the seat it shows $0 as the seat choice. I missed out on my first choice, but at least I got 2nd choice as to what was available prior.
