1) The two rooms are on the same reservation, with the first two nights in a Park Suite King and the last night in a Park King. Anyone have any experiences with this type of arrangement? What are the chances they will let us stay in the suite for the last night (which happens to be New Year's Eve)?
2) Speaking of which, any thoughts on things to do for New Year's Eve? We were thinking about a dinner cruise on the Bosphorus, but any other recommendations?
3) It appears that taxis are the easiest mode of transportation from the airport. Is that right?
Thanks in advance!
1) Depends on occupancy... though as a Diamond they might make an exception.. look into whether or not you want to have a spa room while there- there are pros and cons in my mind.. the usual Diamond upgrade is a spa room from what I understand (which is technically a higher category than a Park Suite).
2) Nisantasi is a very upscale area... I would probably stay and find something in the area instead of trying to travel on NYE...
3) I booked a private transfer through a group called backpackers travel or something..I think it was either 30-35 euro. Very convenient and efficient... I'm not huge fan of Istanbul taxis... But, I think ones operating out of the airport should be legit...
