I would avoid any US connection.

The KE nonstop is pretty good, but not daily. Soft product is good, but unless you get a new suite, might be the KE flat but not 180 product.

Otherwise, connecting through PEK or NRT probably best option (unless the TPE flights come online when you travel - interesting option).
