First: My BP always says "TSA Pre-Check" even when the airport does not have Pre-Check. The scanner gives three beeps, even when I'll be going through the regular line. A few months ago, at many airports, the three beeps were followed by the TSA Agent saying something along the lines of, "We were just trained and the lines will be here shortly."

Second: Many smaller airports now have Pre-Check lite, where you will get to leave your shoes and coat on, but will still have to take liquids and electronics out of your bag.

Third: The one time recently I didn't get PC, it was not printed on my BP. My electronic BP was missing the blue bar in the corner, and when I tried to print at home and the kiosk, it wasn't on the BP. That's the random part. In ~200 trips through the PC line, I have never had it printed on the BP but not gotten the three beeps.
