Although it sounded fun, I would avoid the Silver Airways MGW run. I'd probably go with BOS on UA or CLT on US. CLT will cost a bit more more less miles but will put you over the Gold threshold in half a day. BOS will be cheaper money-wise, but you'll have to commit more of a day.
Because Silver Airways is "DBA United Express", this should count as a United Express flight, right??
