The fact the flight actually operated seems to be the problem, I gave my friend the money back personally and have given up hope of seeing it again.
We're not talking lots (£80 + 4000 avios) but it's the principal that annoys me.

BA have simply stopped corresponding with me and I am aware that they have no intention of giving any refunds for the disruption on 24th May 2013 without a fight. The only choice you have is the small claims court, which I am contemlating myself. The amount of cash at stake for me is considerably more than you though!
As a result of BA not paying compo/refunds for an incident which was entirely of their own making I now travel with other airlines rather than going out of my way to use BA. This won't bother BA in the slightest but I makes me feel a bit better when I have given another airline my money when it could have gone to BA. In a small way it makes me feel like I'm getting my money back from them anyway.
