I have had exactly the same experience, I got quite frustrated and ended up PM'ing Nicci on here, and lo and behold, I had a response from CS the very next day.

This absolutely shouldn't be the way it is, and I'm sure Nicci has much better things to do than act as a middleman between EC status pax and CS.
