Whilst we are talking about them I would love to find out the benefit of a Sky Marshall on flights?

Are they armed? If they are then surely the possibility of someone else getting hold of their arms in an otherwise supposedly sterile area is a risk?

If they are not then what are they going to do in the event of a terrorist action on board?
