This is the first time we have tried redeeming Avios points. I am looking to fly YYC-LHR-CDG on May 2 returning ORY-LHR-YYC on May 19. I can't find any award availability for those dates or many dates around it either for PE or CW. So I am wondering what the chance of being able to use my Avios points to upgrade from PE to CW would be assuming I purchase the tickets? If there is a good chance, when should I expect to be able to see the chance to upgrade? It is an extra $300 each for PE over the cost of E but really only want to purchase PE if upgrade chances are reasonable. Thanks for your help.
