I have always thought that the late check-out was a very nice privilege and RARELY ask/use the 4 PM checkout yet alone later than 4 PM. Although I do think it's somewhat weird that check-in at many hotels isn't until 3 or 4 PM and check out time is noon. Heck - you're not even there for 24 hours!
