Yesterday, I bought tickets through the Southwest website on an AirTran flight in March. The confirmation email included a link allowing me to buy pre-assigned seating on the flight, something I've not seen before when booking through Southwest for AirTran This seems like progress! The flight is short and I'm not planning to pre-purchase, but am hoping this means I'll now be able to select seats when I check in, rather than being stuck with whatever AirTran offers... Does anyone know about this?
