I don't remember being asked if I wanted to use GE. When it was opened up to nexus card holders, I tried it and it just worked. Now, I always use GE rather than nexus to avoid having to fill in the US customs declaration form on paper. Canada can't get rid of the nexus kiosks soon enough for me. I agree completely with the post that the nexus kiosks at yvr are unreliable and often down.
