Oak Door is the best IMO, particularly the drinks, sizzling scallops, burgers and onion rings.
Maduro over the past year has gotten too smokey for me. Don't go there often, but the caviar is nice for a once in a long time treat. As is the chilled seafood tower for two. Nice accompaniment to champagne. They used to serve Cristal by the glass, but that was years ago.
Salvatore Brothers, Italian restaurant in RH, was my favorite, but they closed it during the renovation and nothing yet has reopened there. I find the rest of the restaurants in RH to be lackluster, at least the western options. Jiro is obviously very good, albeit pricey.
Regarding the previous poster mentioning the English version of the RH website.
The site recently underwent a total renovation and apparently only the Japanese version is launched so far. Stay tuned for the English version.
Maybe mjm can give us an ETA if he's reading this thread...
And to 777, Christophe is leaving at EOY and new GM from South America coming. Expect some changes! Hopefully for the better!
Thanks a!
I don't really like Jiro at RH, I prefer other places at Ginza more. I just don't enjoy the hike to Ginza from Shinjuku.
Didn't know Oak door does burgers, maybe I should try it next time. I guess I am too comfortable with the places I usually go to when I am in Tokyo.
