~2.5k is the threshold for extra identification, like ssn. It's expected.
Since transaction is big, they want extra data. But I see nothing wrong with that. Splitting it onto multiples 2k or so would look more suspicious to my mind.
Executed in different WMs to the same end account, it'd look obvious to the BP processor anyway (if they care enough).
